Mechanic

Crane & Hoist Department


Crane & Hoist Service Technician

Total Tool Supply, Inc. a 40 year old company in the construction supply industry is currently looking to fill a C&H Service position in our Crane & Hoist Division.

Overview

We are looking for qualified people to train as crane service technicians. Our service technicians perform OSHA required Inspections, general maintenance and repair of all types of overhead cranes and hoisting equipment.

Necessary Technical Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Strong electrical aptitude
  • Basic computer skills

Driver

Overview:

To work as a delivery driver, one must possess a clean driving record. Since you are responsible for the safety and timely delivery of items, you must be careful and diligent. Your responsibilities include transporting goods from one place to another by driving a delivery vehicle. It is important for delivery drivers to be able to use technology to plot routes so that timely deliveries can be made. Knowledge of local and interstate routes is also a prerequisite for this position.

Duties

The most important duty of delivery drivers is to drive safely to their destination. Drivers are also often expected to help with the loading and unloading of their products, keep logs of their activities and make sure their vehicles are maintained in good working order. Package delivery service drivers and those whose job involves sales often have to accept payment for services and handle other paperwork related to the delivery. Some may be responsible for obtaining new customers along a delivery route.

Job Requirements:

Delivery drivers often receive on-the-job training, covering company products and policies, the preparation of delivery forms and the operation and loading of the vehicle. Part of the training may involve riding with experienced drivers. The position requires good eyesight, hearing and physical condition. Because delivery drivers often deal with customers, we are looking for an applicant with initiative, who is neat, well spoken, courteous and works well with little supervision. A satisfactory driving record is required.
